About Kame Bakery
Kame means turtle in Japanese. I took this name as an homage to my grandfather and to the slow-food movement. I have enjoyed making plant-based sweets and snacks for the past years and I’m thrilled to see the moments when people discover plant-based can be a delicious option.
When I moved to the US from Japan, I found it was not easy to find satisfying healthy plant-based sweets and snacks options made with simple and quality ingredients. That’s when I decided to start a home-based bakery. I started my business to offer fresh, healthier snack options not only for the vegan people but for anyone who look for healthier options in the community.
I am trained and certified in Ayurvedic Nutrition & Culinary Training (ANACT) by Chef Divya Alter and I’m excited to reflect my Ayurvedic cooking experience in my products to support you with healthier snacking options.
